Torel Palace Porto is a new boutique five star-hotel in the heart of Porto with 24 rooms and Suites. This new project by the Torel Boutiques group is housed in one of the most stunning antique palaces in Porto, the "Palacete Campos Navarro". This typical bourgeouis Palace, dating back to 1861, is one of the most impressive and distinguished examples of the romantic architecture period in Porto.
The concept of Torel Palace Porto is to honor portuguese writers and poets. Each of the 24 rooms and Suites is designed individually to reflect their works and life, among them Eca de Queiroz, Florbela Espanca and of course the perhaps best-known Portuguese writer, Fernando Pessoa.
The work of another exceptional writer, Jose Saramago, is celebrated in our gastronomic space "Blind". "Blind" refers to one of Saramagos most famous novels, "Blindness". Located on the ground floor of Torel Palace, the concept of "Blind" is to live the experiences created by Chef Vitor Matos: in a world of customs and authenticity, the senses are put to the test in each moment through a cuisine made of fresh seasonal ingredients, renewed, evolutionary and sensitive.
