Hotel Gamla Stan, steeped in history and re-opened in 2018 after a total renovation and refurbishment is a unique and charming boutique hotel in the heart of Stockholm's Old Town that offers elegant and luxurious accommodation.
The hotel is housed in 3 different buildings dating from the 17th century and while maintaining original details from the past, the property has been transformed into an elegant, luxurious and dare we say, decadent hotel, with all modern conveniences to make our guests feel at home.
Some rooms offer a spectacular view of the water while others look onto the narrow cobblestone alleys and historical buildings. The painted ceilings and original beams have all been preserved and it is even rumored that some painted walls dating back to the 16th century, which we have encased in glass just to be sure, are part of the original city walls! Stockholms oldest wrought iron staircase has been preserved and can still be used.
