The Official State Hermitage Hotel is located in the very centre of St.Petersburg.
Such landmarks as Vladimirsky Cathedral, the museum in Dostoyevsky's House and Nevsky Prospect are within walking distance. Most of the international brands have their exclusive boutiques along this main shopping street of St. Petersburg. Three metro stations are also close to the hotel.
The original building was built in the 1830's when it was the residence of merchant Lobov and his family. It went through many enlargements through the years becoming the St.Petersburg Railway Club in 1912. During soviet times, it went through reconstruction to host the House of Culture from 1936 until 2000 where lots of performances took place. Abandoned after a destructive fire in 2005, it was bought and restored to its glory days and in October, 2013 it opened as a luxury 5-star hotel.
The Official State Hermitage Hotel offers 126 spacious and light rooms located on six floors, all equipped with the latest technology. The decoration follows The State Hermitage Museum guidelines.
Each guest Room offers: free Wi-Fi Internet Access, a 40-inch LED TV set, a private safe, air conditioning, a mini-bar, a desk, telephone with International ant direct connection, a hairdryer, complimentary bottled water and scales.
